Pescosansonesco is a municipality of less than 500 inhabitants in the Province of Pescara in the Gran Sasso National Park at 610 m. above sea level. It is a predominantly agricultural and livestock town, with some bars, restaurants and shops distributed between the Old Town and the New Town which is 2 km away. In Pescosansonesco Vecchio stands the Sanctuary of the Holy Nunzio Sulprizio which is the destination of numerous pilgrimages. The A25 motorway and the railway station (Torre de' Passeri) are about 10 km away, the city of Pescara with the international airport and the beaches of the Adriatic Sea is 50 km away, the major ski centers are about 1 hour away by car , Rome can be reached in about 2 hours.
